Not at all. You can use the SimilarPages add-on in your daily search session without noticing any difference. Our servers will only send you a list of suggested sites (a few strings of text) through the sidebar.

No. Each add-on is completely anonymous, and cannot be associated to any person or account. This is in order to protect your privacy and permit a wide diffusion of our web discovery technology.

The SimilarPages add-on works with Mozilla's award-winning Firefox browser, which can be downloaded here. Supported operating systems include Windows XP, Vista and 7 as well as Mac OS X and most Linux distributions.

The anonymous logs we collect are used in order to improve our lists and service, to increase our dataset per topic and to constantly improve the speed of response from our servers.

SimilarPages works anonymously, and users do not have to register. Because we don't ask you to set up an account, we have no way of accessing your personal information. In order to send you a list of similar sites, your add-on (identified only by an anonymous number) sends us the URL of the web site you are browsing. Our servers automatically process this and send your add-on a small string of text including the list of similar sites in response. Our logs record only anonymous requests for similar lists. Nothing is traceable.

It is an innovative web discovery tool and a search add-on.
